Yes, it’s probably a crime, but I have only just seen the movie Annie Hall. It was amazing.
I would recommend it for anyone who…
…has ever been in a relationship
…can’t stand going in to the cinema after the movie has started
…hates know-it-all culture snobs and shallow TV types
…says what they think, whether they should or not
…has thoughts that run at a million miles an hour
…likes people watching
…has an overactive imagination
It is incredibly funny, smart and true. And so fresh given it was made in 1977.
Oh yeah, and Diane Keaton wears great outfits!
Let me leave you with the final line of the film.
Alvy Singer (the Woody Allen character)
“I thought of that old joke, y’know, the, this… this guy goes to a psychiatrist and says, “Doc, uh, my brother’s crazy; he thinks he’s a chicken.” And, uh, the doctor says, “Well, why don’t you turn him in?” The guy says, “I would, but I need the eggs.” Well, I guess that’s pretty much now how I feel about relationships; y’know, they’re totally irrational, and crazy, and absurd, and… but, uh, I guess we keep goin’ through it because, uh, most of us… need the eggs.”
